The newest version of the comprehensive cancer management system will be inaugurated soon, said Ali Qanbari Motlaq, head of the Cancer Control Office at the Health Ministry’s Non-Communicable Diseases Department. “The office has been working on an integrated system to collect, store, and analyze nationwide information on cancer for over two years now, gathering information from health and medical experts and specialists,” he said, Mehr News Agency reported. The system was initially launched during the 2016 National Cancer Week (January 28- February 4) to provide information and facilitate the process of decision making for the pertinent executive bodies. In the new system, pathology samples and information will be collected and shared electronically, providing for constant and precise reporting on cancer trends in medical centers.
