Due to the ‘peculiar nature’ of Bushehr climate, 3000 patients with renal failure have been identified in the province, of whom 1000 are in need of dialysis or kidney transplant, said Esmaeil Abbasi, head of Bushehr Association of Kidney Patients.Kidney transplant is expensive costing more than $ 1.5 million; hundreds of lives can be saved with the help of philanthropists, IRNA reported. At present the comprehensive plan of creating the ‘Renal Disease Atlas’ has begun in Bushehr Province. By identifying the reasons for renal failure, preventive measures can be taken.
