The first round of the exhibition ‘Women and homemade products’ to showcase products produced by female heads of households is underway at Vali-e Asr Crossroad, in Tehran Municipality District 6, from August 28 to September 3.
“A variety of products including clothing, accessories, and different kinds of food products will be offered at the fair,” said Fatemeh Tanhaee, women’s affairs adviser at the TM, ISNA reported.
According to official figures, the number of female-headed households has more than doubled over the past 25 years, from 1.2 million in 1991 to 2.5 million in 2015, indicating a 108% increase.
