A series of 15 tremors measuring over 3.5 degrees on the Richter scale jolted Bandar Ganaveh County in Bushehr Province over two days on Friday and Saturday. There were no reports of casualties or damages. Iran straddles several major seismic faults and is prone to frequent earthquakes. The famous Qatar-Kazerun fault, with an estimated 450-km length starts from the tiny peninsular Arab state of Qatar in the southern part of the Persian Gulf and passes through the Iranian provinces of Bushehr, Fars, Kohgiluyeh-Boyer Ahmad and Chaharmahal-Bakhtiari, Alef News Agency reported.
