The first education and science park was inaugurated on Saturday in the presence of high-ranking officials in Mashhad, Khorasan Razavi Province. The park named ‘Bazima’ (literally ‘our games’), aims to help students learn more about science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) as well as protection of the environment. “It is good to have a place for people to voluntarily participate in educating their children in various issues concerning the world around them and what directly affects their daily lives,” said head of the Department of Environment Masoumeh Ebtekar at the opening ceremony, Mehr News Agency reported. The park is an interesting place for young students and children in kinesthetic learning, in which learning takes place by the students carrying out physical activities, rather than listening to a lecture or watching demonstrations. An ‘Education Station’ is open to the public and the park welcomes school field trips.
