Iranian Intelligence forces have seized four tons of illicit drug precursors in Iran’s southern province of Hormozgan. Provincial intelligence forces discovered and seized the four tons of traditional and industrial illicit drug precursors, in two containers carrying vehicle spare parts and industrial coolants from China and Taiwan to Iran, Hojatoleslam Salimi, Hormozgan Provincial director general of intelligence told reporters on Thursday, IRNA reported. Officials say the battle against drug addiction and trafficking costs Iran $1 billion annually. Iran lies on the transit corridor between the world’s biggest opium producer Afghanistan and drug dealers in Europe.
