A total of 14 medical centers have been established by the Iran Health Charity Association in the outlying areas of Tehran city and lesser developed regions of the province this year. “Since its establishment in 2009, the charity has spent over 40,000 billion rials ($1 billion) on construction of medical projects across the country,” said head of the association Reza Niri, IRNA reported. The goal of the charity is to assist the Health Ministry in filling the gaps in the healthcare system and increase access to health services, and systematize all humanitarian activities concerning healthcare.
