Heavy rainfall in the past two days caused flooding and injured 120 people in three provinces of the country. Nine rescue and relief teams were sent to the 5 affected cities in the provinces including Shiraz and Darab in Fars, Iranshahr and Sib and Suran in Sistan-Baluchistan and Sardoeeyeh in Kerman provinces, said Naser Charkhsaz, director of rescue operations at the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS). Contingency services included transferring the injured to hospitals and draining flood waters from residences, he said, adding that there was no loss of human life, Alef News Agency reported.
