Eight fully-equipped mobile blood transfusion units will be launched by the end of August in Tehran Province, said Fardin Balouchi, secretary of the Association of Patrons of Iranian Blood Transfusion Organization. “The mobile units have been donated by patrons,” he said, IRNA reported. Construction of five comprehensive blood transfusion centers across the capital, also funded by contributions, is under progress, and will open by the end of the current Iranian year in March 2017. The association was formed in spring under the auspices of the Health Ministry and aims to raise funds for the construction of blood transfusion centers.
