The process of enrolling foreign students at Iranian universities has been simplified, said director general for non-Iranian student affairs at the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology. “This includes reducing the time for visa issuance to three days after submitting the application,” said Samad Haj Jabbari, Mehr News Agency reported. “We have also made necessary arrangements with various academic institutions that seek to enroll international students to make easy the administrative process,” he added. Currently, 21,000 non-Iranian students from 92 countries are studying at Iranian universities, and the ministry has plans to attract more non-scholarship overseas students.
