For the first time in the country, a program titled ‘Everyday Life Skills’ will help enhance daily life for people with disabilities, said deputy head of rehabilitation at the State Welfare Organization. The SWO is in talks with firms that import assistive devices to supply them to the disabled to ease their difficulties, and help them live their lives to the fullest means possible, Hossein Nahvinejad told IRNA. “Over the past 30 years we have been negligent in empowering the physically challenged for everyday activities in life or making cities friendly for their mobility. They have the right to access normal everyday services in a suitable way.” Another area to be addressed is training caretakers in nursing skills.
