Chemotherapy and radiotherapy are the two major causes of early menopause, said Ashraf Alyasin, head of the 15th International Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology. “Although the condition does not always equal infertility, women who undergo chemo or radiotherapy must consider treatments such as estrogen replacement therapy,” she said quoted by Borna News Agency. The conference will be held October 5-8 at the Tehran University of Medical Sciences. Several subjects will be reviewed at the scientific event including breast cancer, endometriosis, fetal medicine, fertility and infertility, oncology, high-risk contraception, modern obstetrician, invasive surgery, laparoscopy, obesity and women’s diseases.
