Dialysis Units in Hotels

The Iranian Red Crescent Society is planning a project where a floor in a number of hotels and accommodation facilities in tourist cities across the country will be allocated to dialysis units and services to facilitate travelling patients. “The project called ‘Dialysis Hotels’ is planned to be executed in a number of cities with most visitors such as Mashhad in Khorasan Razavi Province, and several northern cities,” said Dr. Javad Fallah, director of medical facilities at the IRCS. The project will be financed by the private sector, Mehr News Agency reported. “We are currently in talks with several private financers to sign contracts and set up the dialysis centers,” Fallah added. Each dialysis device could cost between $5,500 and $10,000 depending on its sophistication.
