In a meeting in Tehran between Sandy Africa, faculty member of the Political Science Department at University of Pretoria and Shahrouz Falahatpisheh, Iran’s cultural attaché in South Africa, the two sides emphasized developing educational cooperation. The two discussed signing MoUs between academic departments and holding seminars at universities in Iran and South Africa, IRNA reported. Falahatpisheh expressed Iran’s readiness for academic and scientific cooperation and exchanging professors and students with the African nation. The South African academic welcomed bilateral ties and said professors and students from both sides should be encouraged to keep contact through their respective embassies.
