Over 1,200 people were provided with emergency aid as dust storms blew through the southeastern province of Sistan-Baluchistan. The storms began last Wednesday (July 13) affecting 1,250 people in major towns including Zabol, Zahak, Nimrouz, and Hirman along with 27 small towns and villages, Azad University News Agency (ANA) reported. A total of 153 rescuers in 36 teams from the Iranian Red Crescent Society are providing relief services, and have distributed 1,000 food packages among the affected people so far. Around 32,000 masks were supplied and relief operations are continuing.
