ICAPP 2017 Meeting in Tehran

Members of the Standing Committee of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP) met with Vice President for Women and Family Affairs Shahindokht Molaverdi on Tuesday. The next meeting of the ICAPP will be held in Tehran in May 2017,” said Chung Eui-yong, co-chairman of the Standing Committee. “There are nearly 3,500 people from various political parties who are ICAPP committee members, and we hope that the ICAPP Special Conference will bring them together” in the Iranian capital next year, he said, IRNA reported. He referred to an ICAPP meeting held nine years ago in Tehran, saying that “Iran can play an important part in the development of ICAPP.” Chung officially invited the vice president as Iranian women’s representative to participate in the ICAPP 9th General Assembly to be held in Kuala Lumpur September 1-3. The ICAPP Standing Committee is composed of representatives of 23 members states.
