Carcinogenicity of fruity hookah is several times higher than a conventional hookah due to the additive ingredients, IRNA quoted Tal’at Ghaneh, head of Drug and Poison Information Center at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as saying. In addition to pulmonary complications, harmful additives can enter the blood and cause cancer in any organ of the body. The fruity additives are carcinogenic and the “burning process will also increase their harmful effect,”he added.
