A festival on ‘Woman, Family, and Media’ will be held in the first week of August, said Zohreh Ashtiani, event secretary and head of the media workgroup at the Vice Presidency for Women and Family Affairs. “We are planning to hold the festival concurrent with the National Journalists Day (August 7),” she was quoted by ISNA as saying. The festival is organized by the workgroup at the vice presidency in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance. It aims to promote the approach of mass media towards issues of women and family, as well as encourage reporters and activists to provide wider and more comprehensive coverage on matters related to women.
