Universities in Australia are planning to resume scientific and academic cooperation with Iran and will send delegations in the near future, said Iranian Ambassador to Australia Abdolhossein Vahaji. “These universities include Melbourne, Deakin, Monash and La Trobe,” he said during his visit this week to Melbourne to discuss ways to promote bilateral and academic ties between the two countries, ISNA reported. The officials of the universities, all based in Melbourne, presented a report on their academic position in international arenas, as well as a report on Iranian students and their status in the universities. Vahaji said the embassy is willing to facilitate scientific, academic and educational cooperation between Iranian and Australian universities.
