Iran will send healthcare specialists and relief aid providers to Greece to help Syrian refugees in the country, said director general for health and medical treatment at the Iran Red Crescent Society.
“The IRCS will send several medical teams this week to help Syrians who are currently living in refugee camps in Greece,” Afshin Alikhani said on Saturday, IRNA reported.
The Iranian teams will offer services in cooperation with the Spanish Red Cross.
IRCS is one of the world’s largest volunteer groups with over two million members. It recently joined the International Society for Rapid Response Systems (iSRRS), and will now be invited as an official member to participate in global emergency response operations.
