According to Scopus citation database, the ranking of Persian as a scientific language has improved by two steps in 2015 and is now the 15th language in which scientific articles are published, director of Islamic World Science Citation Database (ISC) said Sunday. “About 92% of scientific papers in 2015 were published in English. Mandarin (Chinese) holds the second place in most-published scientific papers with a 4% share in academic publications,” Mohammad Javad Dehqani told Mehr News Agency. About 0.06% of science production in the world is in the Persian language, ranked 17th in 2013 and 2014.
