Iranian students will participate in the 10th annual meeting of the Social and Affective Neuroscience Society (SANS) to be held March 16-18, 2017 in California on the UCLA campus.

Five papers by students from Tehran University of Medical Sciences have been admitted to the world biggest conference on cognitive sciences held in the US annually, IRNA reported. “At the previous meet, only two articles were admitted to the conference, and an increase in the number of papers for the next confab is a great stride for Iran’s scientific society,” said Parvin Pasalar, head of the Scientific Research Center at TUMS.

SANS is committed to research in the neural basis of social and affective processes. Founded in 2008, it comprises over 400 members, and its annual meetings are a platform to promote social and affective neurosciences.
