Mohammadvali Biranvand, Police Aviation (Hava Naja) commander announced the opening of the first police airport named “Shahid Ariyafar” in the southern part of Tehran in the near future. The airport construction began two years ago. At present two-thirds of the constructions are completed. The airport can be fully operational by next year if necessary funding is provided, ISNA quoted him as saying.
