Vice president at the Drug Control Headquarters announced plans to launch awareness programs to prevent drug abuse at student dorms. Alireza Jazini told ISNA that 2.6% of university students have fallen prey to drug abuse. An agreement with the ministry of science has been signed to promote awareness, which has resulted in a 20% increase in prevention in the first half of the current calendar year (started March 21). He asked the academic community to engage in the fight against drugs and said “special focus should be placed on dormitories.’’
