Electronic notary public offices of the State Organization for Registration of Deeds and Properties were inaugurated concurrent with the start of the National Judiciary Week (June 21-28). At a ceremony, head of SORDP Ahmad Tooyserkani issued the first electronic deed on Tuesday, IRNA reported. The plan was initially piloted in seven notary publics in Tehran in May 2015. Electronic registration of deeds will reduce costs, accelerate process, and prevent forgery. Through e-governance, administrative services will be made convenient, efficient and transparent for the public, he said. Electronic registration will be available at 430 notary offices across the country.
