Eight patients with brain tumors have received surgery free of charge at Razavi Specialized Hospital in Mashhad, Khorasan Razavi Province, said Dr Saeed Hashemzadeh, head of the hospital. “The scheme to provide free medical services to patients from the economically weaker strata started in April, and so far 845 patients have registered for free surgery among whom, 200 have been considered eligible for the free treatment,” IRNA quoted him as saying. At present 14 poor patients are waiting for free surgery.
