The National Research Institute of Herbal Medicine will be established by the National Council for Science and Technology Development of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants and Traditional Medicine, IRNA quoted Dr. Mohammad Hassan Osareh, council secretary as saying.
The council plans to build science and technology parks for herbal and traditional medicine, and export natural medicines and herbal drugs for humans and animals.
The council is affiliated to the Department of Science and Technology at the Presidential Office and aims to indigenize advanced technologies in producing and packaging herbal medicines.
