A team of 30 physicians who specialize in internal medicine, infectious diseases, gynecology, paramedical medicine and blood transfusion called ‘Health and Hope’ visited Lorestan Province to educate rural people and help them prevent zoonotic diseases, Mehr News agency reported. As zoonotic diseases are passed from animals to humans and are particularly prevalent in the provinces and rural areas, the Iranian Red Crescent volunteers organized the team with the aim of increasing the community health.
