The first Iftar charity festival in the fasting month of Ramadan was held June 9-11 at the Mafakher Museum, Arak, in Markazi Province. The festival’s proceeds will be used for the benefit of MS patients, Mehr news Agency reported. “The festival also introduced the region’s ethnic food,” said Mohammad Hosseini, director general of the provincial department of Iran’s Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization. Iftar is the evening meal when Muslims end their daily fast at sunset, at the time of the call to prayer, during the holy month. The festival is held every year.
