The average years of Iranian marriages has decreased to three years. Only 11% of Iranians has the chance to celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary, said Ahmad Touyserkani, head of the State Organization for Registration of Deeds and Properties (SORDP), referring to official statistics received at his office. “About 38% of all divorces are related to couples between the ages 25 to 29,” Alef News Agency quoted him as saying. Stating that there is a significant relationship between divorce and the level of education, he said almost 70% of male divorcees and 65% of female divorcees don’t have university education.
