Hashemi Meets S. Korean Minister

In a meeting with his South Korean counterpart Bogeon Bokji Bu, Health Minister Hassan Qazizadeh Hashemi called for the establishment of joint taskforces to kick start the agenda as per the MoUs signed during the South Korean president’s recent visit to Iran. The two officials met on the sidelines of the 69th World Health Assembly in Geneva. Execution of the MoUs within six months was discussed at the meeting, said Health Ministry spokesman Abbas Zarenejad, IRNA reported. Bogeon invited Hashemi to attend his country’s Health and Tourism Exhibition in October. Several South Korean companies including Samsung and Hyundai have expressed interest to invest in Iran’s health sector. President Park Geun-hye visited Tehran earlier this month.
