A leather production workshop will soon be opened in Tehran District 10 by the Institute to Empower Female Heads-of-Households, to support and create job opportunities for women breadwinners. "The project will also contribute to creating an organized network in the leather industry," said Elaheh Ataei, deputy at the institute, ISNA reported. It will produce high quality bags and shoes and have the capacity to hire over 100 women. The institute earlier had brought together apparel production units and local clothing brands. Ataei said production of accessories (jewellery) is also on their agenda.
