Rector of Ural Federal University Victor Koksharov in the Russian city of Yekaterinburg said on Tuesday that his university is willing to grant fellowship to 100 Iranian students.
In a meeting in Moscow with Iran’s Consulate General Ali Mehri, the two sides discussed ways to increase academic and scientific cooperation, IRNA reported.
Koksharov lauded the Iranian Embassy as well as Ambassador Mehdi Sanaei’s efforts to help expand academic and scientific relations, and made the offer to grant fellowship to 100 Iranian students. Iran’s new scientific counselor Ahmad Gholami was present.
UFU has declared sisterhood with the Iranian Avicenna University of Hamedan. The two academic centers share a history of cooperation for several years.
