Insulin Production

Iran will soon join the nations that have the technical knowledge to produce modern insulin, said Vice President of Novo Nordisk Pars Cem Ozenc. He made the remarks at the unveiling ceremony of the company’s new production plant in Tehran on Saturday, sepidonline.com reported. “The production unit, to be completed within four years, will supply the regional, Asian and African markets in addition to meeting the demands of 5 million Iranians suffering from diabetes,” he said. The MoU to build the production unit was signed between the Danish firm Novo Nordisk and Iran’s Food and Drug Administration last September.
