Health Ministry inspectors will be equipped with state-of-the-art digital tools for more efficient and faster screening of food and hygiene products, says Khosrow Sadeqniat, head of the ministry’s Work and Environment Health Center. “The inspectors will be provided screening tools for microbial contamination, moisture meters, and chlorine measuring devices this year (began March 20),” he told IRNA. So far, samples collected were referred to a laboratory for testing which was a lengthy and time-consuming process. “The new digital kits will also help accelerate the procedure of inspection at public places like swimming pools and restaurants,” he noted.
