Anti-narcotics exhibitions will be held permanently in eight provinces across the country by the Iran Drug Control Headquarters, said Aref Vahabzadeh, director general of Prevention and Cultural Affairs at the IDCH. “The exhibitions will showcase some of the methods and achievements of the headquarters and offer educational packages in prevention of substance abuse and addiction,” he said, ILNA reported. The exhibitions will be held in provinces most affected by the drug problem including Kerman, Sistan-Baluchistan, Yazd, and Isfahan. Vahabzadeh said the sixth economic, social and cultural development plan stipulates that the rate of substance addiction must drop by 5% every year over the 2016-2020 period. “We need to raise awareness and elicit people’s cooperation to realize that goal,” he said.
