An official at the Social Security Organization (SSO) said over 3 million people registered online to get insurance coverage in the first half of the current calendar year (started March 21). Abolhassan Pourhosseini said online registration saved half the applicants-mostly business owners from making trips to the SSO offices. He said the online service was launched on December 7, 2013 in nine phases across the country.
‘’The current system has the capability for error detection and correction and cash-payment which saves a lot time in providing efficient services to customers,’’ Pourhosseini said. He added the system will also reduce the work load for employees.
