Over 600 students of medical sciences universities in Tehran will provide free diabetes tests and information on the disease in 77 subway stations across the capital on Thursday, as part of the programs for the National Health Week (April 20-26), IRNA reported.
As this year the focus of the World Health Day is on beating diabetes, 18 medical centers under the auspices of Tehran and Shahid Beheshti universities of medical sciences will also offer free diagnosis and treatment services until May 5.
On the sidelines of the program, 100,000 educational brochures will be distributed among the people on chronic and non-communicable diseases.
