The Management and Planning Organization (MPO) has allocated funds to the State Welfare Organization (SWO) to ensure the return of 7,400 out-of-school children to schools, said Leyla Tohidniya, head of the SWO Family and Social Health Office. According to figures last year that ended on March 19, nearly 67,000 students were left out of the primary education system across the country, Mehr News Agency reported. The share of Sistan-Baluchestan Province in the number of dropouts at primary school level is 20% and the main reason is the high rate of illiteracy among parents in the province.
