The winding Imam Ali Expressway is one of the most dangerous highways in Tehran. People should reduce their speed to 80 km/hour while driving on the expressway in eastern Tehran, from Ozgol to Ayatollah Madani Street, he cautioned. Failure to pay attention when driving or giving way to drivers, are two main reasons for about 64% of road accidents,” IRNA quoted him as saying. “By respecting traffic rules and regulations the rate of road accidents can be reduced by more than half,” he added.
