The Social Security Organization plans to set up 10 hospitals similar to the specialty Milad Hospital it founded in 2001 in Tehran. “The hospitals are planned across the provinces,” said Seyed Taqi Nourbakhsh, head of the SSO, IRNA reported. “The design phase for three hospitals in Birjand, South Khorasan Province; Ahvaz, Khuzestan Province, and Ilam has already begun,” he noted, adding that construction for Milad Hospital’s polyclinic to provide outpatient services will begin in the current Iranian year that started on March 20. A complementary health service provider in the SSO chain of hospitals, Milad Hospital is the largest specialty and sub-specialty hospital in Iran.
