The welfare deputy at the ministry of labor has denied reports about the reduction in the food aid packages distributed among the vulnerable sections. Ahmad Midari told ISNA that “there is no cut but the only difference is that from now on only those who are eligible will receive the packages and not their family members as was the case in the past.” He also said people covered by the Social Welfare Organization for reasons other than ‘’financial difficulty,’’ will no longer be eligible to receive food support.
