In less than a year, a second hospital built by Iran in Pakistan was inaugurated in the neighboring country’s Sindh Province. The Al-Farabi hospital in Keti Bandar area of district Thatta was inaugurated on Thursday in the presence of Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah and Counsel General of Iran in Karachi, Mehdi Subhani, IRNA reported. The project is financed by the Housing Foundation of the Islamic Republic, where a special fund is dedicated to reconstructing the affected areas of Pakistan after the catastrophic floods in 2010. In August 2015, the first 40-bed hospital built with Iran’s assistance was inaugurated in Khairpur area of Sindh Province. In a speech, Ali Shah lauded the social services extended by the Islamic Republic of Iran to his the people. Over 40,000 people from Keti Bandar, Gharho, Baghan and surrounding areas will benefit from the hospital.
