Family health clinics will be set up in all provinces across the country by the end of the current Iranian year (started March 20), said Athareh Nejadi, deputy to the vice-president for Women and Family Affairs.

“The clinics were established in nine provinces last year and since the project has made satisfactory progress, it will be extended on a national scale,” she told ISNA. Such clinics have so far been established in Tehran, Khorasan Razavi, Isfahan, Tabriz, Alborz, Fars, Kerman, Ilam and Khuzestan provinces to provide timely and convenient access to healthcare and consultancy services for families.

“The scheme is in line with the population policy guidelines set by the Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, to remove marriage barriers, facilitate and accelerate matrimony, and consolidate family pillars,” Nejadi said.
