Clinical deputy at the health ministry announced that primary care costs for patients in 560 state hospitals will undergo a 15% reduction. Dr. Mohammad Aghajani told ISNA the cut in primary care costs “is another step to make health care more affordable for citizens as part of the Health Reform Plan.” He said services like screening patients and diagnostic tests are categorized in primary care. There had been reductions in overall hospitalization and health care costs when the reform plan took off on May 5 this year.
