An official at the Drug Control Headquarters said the government has directed the State Welfare Organization (SWO) and medical universities to provide ‘’destitute drug addicts’’ free treatment services. Babak Dinparast said although recovery rates among “substance-dependant people is very low-20%, nevertheless they are committed to encouraging prevention among addicts,” ISNA reported.
