The scheme to present products made by female breadwinners on valid online networks is being implemented in 10 provinces, said Ahmad Meydari, deputy minister of labor, cooperatives and social welfare. Stating that there is an increase in the number of projects in support of female heads of households and rural women across the country, he said businesswomen can present handicrafts with a value of up to $580 each in the selected online networks. “They will also be paid 30% of the cost of their products in advance by the ministry,” IRNA quoted Meydari as saying. According to official figures, the number of female-headed households has more than doubled over the past quarter century from 1.2 million in 1991 to 2.5 million in 2015, indicating a 108% increase.
