With the aim of improving crisis readiness among the general public, the Iranian Red Crescent Society will set up a learning center in all rural and urban areas across the country by the end of the current Iranian year (began March 20), said Ali Asghar Ahmadi, secretary general of society. Advancing the IRCS’s slogan of “Each Family, One Rescuer”, the centers will offer young volunteers first-aid courses that deal with serious conditions and incidents. The classes will train them in relief and rescue operations in times of crisis, reports IRNA. “The program will start by covering every village with more than 20 households, and then extend to the  urban areas,” Ahmadi said. Trainees will learn how to take action in emergencies and deal with injuries and provide emergency aid.
