More than 300 immunologists and allergy specialists will attend the Third International Congress on ‘Asthma, Allergy and Immunology’ and the First Symposium on ‘Food and Drug Allergies’ May 3-6, hosted by Mashhad University of Medical Sciences (MUMS) in the holy city of Mashad, Khorasan Razavi Province. Four foreign delegates from Germany and India will give keynote speeches on immunology, allergies and immunopharmacology, event secretary Farahzad Jabbari told IRNA. There has been an increase in allergic ailments globally during the past decade, affecting an estimated 15-20% of the society in the developed world. The two meetings will review the most recent data in the field and discuss the latest recent scientific findings and developments, therapeutic modalities and preventive measures available.
