All food supply chains and stores will be under strict monitoring during the Norouz (Iranian New Year) holidays starting March 17, said Health Minister Hassan Hashemi. “Over 4,500 health inspectors in 1,700 teams organized by the Health Ministry will inspect food and beverages supplied during the Norouz festivities,” he said, ILNA reported. The plan aims to secure food supplies and safeguard travelers’ health by checking on public places, restaurants, accommodation facilities, gas stations, and roadside facilities. The hotlines 1490 and 190 have been set up for people to report any violations of the health regulations.
